It's a small independently owned Motel in basically the middle of nowhere so you shouldn't expect much more than what you get here. The room was pretty much clean as one could hope for, obviously had all fixtures appliances and furniture straight from the 70's, but the staff was friendly enough and the price was right. Beware if you're allergic to cats though, the office and grounds have many cats roaming around so I'm sure this would be a nightmare for someone with cat allergies. For me though, it was just fine to pet a couple of cute kitties before resting my weary head.
Quiet place for a quick overnight, try the Desert Inn, affordable with decent bed. Especially like the howling coyotes at sundown.
We appreciated the accommodations in this pretty harsh environment. The bed was comfortable and we were delighted to know there was a stove and small fridge in our room. The room was clean and we had no trouble booking over the phone.
This hotel is cozy and clean. It was a perfect two night stay for my husband, 1 year old, and myself... Especially for being in the middle of the desert! I was weary after reading some of the comments, but we have no complaints! We always travel prepared, so the room not having shampoo wasn't an issue. The owner was very accommodating and after a day of wheeling in the sand dunes, we came back to a clean hotel room with our beds having been made and fresh towels. The water smells like sulfur, but we were happy to have hot showers with great water pressure! This place is worth the $50 a night! We will be back.
This is a wonderful place to stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. I was able to park my motorcycle right outside the door. Close to a nice little grocery store/deli/gas station. It was perfect for me :)
